A Place In The Sun Live is one of the largest overseas property exhibitions that took place between 30th September and 2nd October 2011. Visitors to the event, held at the NEC in Birmingham, could find out all they needed to know about buying property abroad, and get a few lessons in eco-living as well.
The company ‘Inland Croatia’ focus their business on eco homes. They have an eco-hamlet in a completely green village in Croatia, where all the buildings are constructed from sustainable timber and reclaimed brick. The extra features in these properties include spring fed wells, eco gardens, and solar panel operated electricity and water. There’s also a scheme to re-sell energy back to the National Grid.
