Energy Efficiency In The Garden

Posted in: Pod Blog     |     Comments: 0

We’ve all seen energy efficiency reports accompanying house details online. Perhaps we’ve even had a survey carried out ourselves, but these reports are purely focused on homes. What about the garden? Although garden buildings may not always be at the top of the list when it comes to green living, energy efficiency, and money saving ventures, if you use and work in them a lot, shouldn’t this be a consideration?

As a company, Pod Space has the environment at the heart of everything we do, so we can provide our customers with affordable and eco-friendly garden buildings. How do we do it? Well, one of the first things we tackle is the paint used on our eco homes, which has a lower VOC solvent rating, which reduces the number of chemicals released into the environment. Our green credentials continue with our building materials, with the timber sourced from woodland that has Global Sustainable Forest Management certificates. Move inside our Pods, and you’ll find a mix of low energy lighting and heating, and some of the most effective insulation on the market.

If you’re considering using a Pod as a garden office, then you might consider going green, with extra windows to let in more natural light. New technology means we can also offer the latest in energy efficient glass, along with effective thermostats, and flat panel heaters as added extras. If you’re going to save money, and reduce your carbon footprint, why not do it in a stylish, contemporary fashion.
