Join Liverpool In Going Green This Autumn
Autumn is a great time to become eco-conscious, and Liverpool is just one of the cities encouraging its residents to do just that this winter. The local waste officers have started a campaign to encourage composting, offering subsidised compost bins for Merseyside residents.
Saving grass cuttings, leaves, and pruning waste, is just one way you can recycle, and prepare for spring planting. This is just one tip that the Liverpool Daily Post have revealed, and they also highlight the vast range of other recyclable products you can add to compost. Coffee grounds, cardboard, vegetable peelings, and even vacuum cleaner dust, will all help make a good soil conditioner.
Being eco-conscious could extend to your garden buildings as well, particularly if you’re looking for a space to work or entertain in. We’d like to introduce you to pod space, a company that uses the latest technology, and innovations, to produce long lasting, eco-conscious buildings.
All our garden rooms are structurally insulated, with low energy underfloor heating, and low energy lighting. Other features we can add or include, continue the environmental theme, such as Green Roof Systems. Green Roofs use low maintenance plants that can cope with the British weather, which provide insulation, and help absorb Co2 from the atmosphere. Take a look at our Pod specifications for more details, including information on the well managed forests we source our Western Red Cedar from. Modern construction methods, energy efficient materials and equipment, and quick construction, garden offices are one way to ‘go green’ this autumn.
