Feature on a Pod recently installed for one of the Editors for ‘The Times’, Janice Turner.
‘There must be thousands of people trying to escape their families because you can find endless home-office designs, from £100,000 eco-lairs shaped like jaunty New England summer houses and budget self-assembly jobs. My main priority was my shed had to be warm: if I had to sit in a freezing box all winter I knew I’d stay in the house. The mini-pod designed by Pod Space not only has a clean Scandinavian design, clad with Cedar that ages naturally, but is very well insulated, meaning low energy costs. Even better, it has – what luxury – underfloor heating. I was pleased, too, that it was manufactured in Yorkshire: good to give my homeland some business’.
